Cricket Format Explained
Knowing the features of different cricket formats helps improve your chances when betting.
T20
20 overs per team, match finishes in three to four hours. The fastest scoring and wickets make in-play betting markets the most dynamic.
ODI (One-Day)
50 overs per team, a full-day match. More markets are available around middle-over tactics and batting order.
Test
A five-day match where each team plays two innings. Pitch conditions, weather and session betting markets are especially important here.
The Hundred
The 100-ball format played in England, even faster than T20. New but betting markets are gradually growing in popularity.
Popular Leagues
BPL and IPL generate the most betting interest in Bangladesh. Wide markets are also available for BBL (Big Bash League, Australia) and PSL (Pakistan Super League).
Football Betting
Alongside cricket, football is also very popular in Bangladesh. pk9k offers the opportunity to bet on the world's top leagues.
Bangladeshi fans are most enthusiastic about the English Premier League, Spain's La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. Markets for World Cup qualifier matches are also available.
Keep in mind: many major European matches kick off between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM Bangladesh Standard Time (BST) — track them easily via the mobile app.
RTP and House Edge Explained
What is RTP?
RTP stands for "Return to Player." It is a percentage that indicates what share of total bets placed on a game is returned to players as winnings over the long term. For example: an RTP of 96% means that on average, ৳96 is paid out for every ৳100 wagered — the remaining ৳4 is the house's profit.
Typical RTP Ranges by Game Type
RTP ranges vary by game type. This is not a guarantee for any single game — rather it is a general observation across the industry:
| Game Type | Typical RTP Range |
|---|---|
| Slot Games | Approx. 92%–98% |
| Blackjack (with strategy) | Approx. 99% |
| Roulette (European) | Approx. 97.3% |
| Baccarat | Approx. 98.5%–98.9% |
| Video Poker | Approx. 95%–99%+ |
What is House Edge?
House edge is the flip side of RTP — the average amount the casino keeps from each bet. For example, if RTP is 96% then the house edge is 4%. The platform operates its services from this house edge. Games with a lower house edge, such as Baccarat or Blackjack, are comparatively more favorable for long-term play.
Why does this matter?
Understanding RTP and house edge is essential for an informed player. It helps you manage your budget, make smarter decisions when choosing games, and avoid unrealistic expectations. Remember: RTP is a long-term average — results can vary from session to session.
